James "Jim" P. Williams, of Mendon, passed away at the age of 70 on February 4, 2021 at 7:17 pm at the Joint Township Hospital in St. Marys.   He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 25, 1950 to the late Gomer & Isabell (Nickell) Williams. On November 18, 1975, Jim married Sharon (Jones) Williams who survives at their residence in Mendon.

Jim is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Sharon Williams of Mendon; his children, Angela Grill of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jonathan (Rachel) Williams of Celina, and Tiffany Williams of Mendon; siblings, Joyce Brannigan of Cincinnati, Tom Williams, and Ken (Marlene) Williams of Nineveh, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Emily, Brooke, Nolan and Helena.

After graduating from high school in 1968, Jim attended Miami University in Oxford and received a Bachelor of Mathematics Degree in the year of 1972. He worked as an Insurance Actuary and retired from the Virginia Farm Bureau in Richmond, Virginia after fourteen years of employment.

Jim was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in St. Marys. He enjoyed golfing, writing and genealogy. Jim also worked for many years as a substitute teacher in local area schools and enjoyed the time spent with the children of those schools.

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2020 at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. Funeral service will be held following visiting hours at 6:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Smith officiating.

Private interment will take place in Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.

Attendees are required to follow social distancing and guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the national concerns of COVID-19. Masks are required by attendees at gathering and memorial service.
