Donald Deitsch
Donald A. Deitsch, 77, of Lima, Ohio, and formerly of Saint Marys, died 2:10 P.M. Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Roselawn Manor, Spencerville.
He was born June 11, 1943, in Saint Marys, the son of Lloyd and Ethel (McDonald) Deitsch. He married Susan Combs on June 7, 1964, in Lima; she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his children: Lisa (Kriss) Schmidt of Liberty Township, Ohio; Darin (Tracey) Deitsch of West Harrison, Indiana; Terri (Jeff) Bruns of Springboro, Ohio.
He is survived by 8 grandchildren: Mackenzie Deitsch; Clayton Deitsch; Olivia Deitsch; Drew Bruns; Jace Bruns; Tate Bruns; Jacob Schmidt; Kayden Schmidt. He is survived by his siblings: William (Lou Ann) Deitsch of Harrod, Ohio; Robert (Sharon) Deitsch of Saint Marys; and by a brother-in-law, Robert (Kaye) Combs of Sarasota, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Lloyd Deitsch.
Don was a 1961 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Saint Marys, and he later drove cars for Saint Marys Chrysler and Larry Schaaf Auto Sales. He was a member of the Shawnee Community of Christ Church.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Elder David Scott, officiant. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to the Lewy Body Dementia Association. All visitors to the funeral home are required to wear a mask, in accordance with the mandates of the Ohio Department of Health.
