Harry Schwarck
Harry "Bud" Schwarck, 86, formerly of Celina, OH died 12:31 a.m. Friday April 23, 2021 at his residence in Findlay, OH.
He was born April 5, 1935 in St. Marys, OH to Carl and Amanda (Waltz) Schwarck. On November 26, 1959 in Findlay, OH he married Jeannine Hartman, who died January 11, 2020.
Survivors include: daughter Teri Goris of Findlay, OH; daughter Jodi (Bill) McClain of Findlay, OH; daughter Judi (Ed) Boyle of Weston, OH; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sister Connie (Charles) Overley of St. Marys, OH; sister-in-law Willine Schwarck of St. Marys, OH; sister-in-law Marcia (John Dec'd) O'Keefe of Spencerville, OH.
Preceded in death by: father Carl Schwarck; mother Amanda (Joseph) Borges; wife Jeannine Schwarck; son Kevin Schwarck; foster daughter Valerie Schwarck; brother Richard Schwarck; brother Larry (Joann, Fairy) Schwarck
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1953). He retired from Cooper Tire Co. in Findlay, where he worked as a semi-truck tire builder. He was a member of Eagles Lodge Aerie # 767 in St. Marys. Harry was instrumental in the development of the Hancock Co. Corporation for Independent Living. He and Jeannine were true advocates for the handicapped, and together they devoted countless hours to those in need.
Friendly and outgoing, Harry enjoyed "making his rounds" while visiting with friends. An avid sports fan, he fiercely supported the Cincinnati Reds, The Ohio State Buckeyes and St. Marys Memorial Roughriders. His favorite pastimes included woodworking, stopping in at the Eagles Lodge, fishing in the channel at their lake home and playing softball for the Cooper Tire league. "Capt. Harry" especially enjoyed guiding tours of Grand Lake St. Marys on his pontoon boat for anyone willing to ride along. Above everything else, Harry appreciated the precious times spent with his family.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys, OH. The services will be officiated by Chaplain Tomas Pistora. Private family burial will take place at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay.
Visitation 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. All attendees are encouraged to wear sports team apparel to the visitation/funeral.
