Lisa DeCoursey-McNelly
Lisa A. DeCoursey-McNelly, age 50, of Celina, passed away Saturday evening, November 20, 2021, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital in Toledo.
She was born December 23, 1970, in Springfield, to Greg & Kathleen (Kuss) DeCoursey Sr., who survive in Harrod.
Lisa and Holt McNelly were married on October 22, 2005, and he survives, along with their son & daughter, Grace and Gavin McNelly, both at home, her sisters and brother: Hope (Jim) Duran, Heather DeCoursey and Greg (Beckie) DeCoursey II, and paternal grandfather, Allie J. Dooley, of Springfield.
Also surviving are her brothers & sisters-in-law: Heath (Susan) McNelly of New Baltimore, MI, Hewe (Michelle) McNelly of Tipp City, and Hope (Timothy) Stanley of Rockford, and several nieces and nephews that Lisa loved and spoiled.
Lisa was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mary Dooley, maternal grandparents: Francis & Maxine Kuss, and her parents-in-law: Thomas and Karen McNelly.
A 1989 graduate of Allen East High School, she attended Ohio State University in Lima. Lisa had been an avid softball and soccer player in her high school years, and had coached Celina Youth Soccer.
She had formerly been active with the Ohio Jaycees. As hobbies, Lisa enjoyed making crafts and jewelry, and she was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and New York Yankees.
Lisa was a member of Grand Lake United Methodist Church - St. Paul's Campus in Celina, and assisted with the Youth Ministry of the church.
Lisa gave 150% to any job she had. She had worked as an administrative assistant at Visions and Midwest Logistics Systems in Celina.
Currently a stay-at-home Mom, which she termed her "dream job," above all, Lisa enjoyed nothing more than being a loving Mother, and loved taking her kids on summer adventures.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 27, at theGrand Lake United Methodist Church - St. Paul's Campus, in Celina, with Pastor Matt Overman officiating.
Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling Hours are 2:00 - 7:00 P.M., Friday, November 26, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, and one hour prior to the Service on Saturday, at the church.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to a fund that will be established for her Children's Education.
