Donald Kremer
Donald A. Kremer, age 66, of St. Henry, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021, at his home, with all his family present.
He was born April 12, 1955, in Coldwater, to the late Herman & Marie (Homan) Kremer. On November 9, 1974, he married Virginia "Ginny" (Bertke) Kremer, at St. Henry Catholic Church, and she survives in St. Henry.
In addition to his wife, Don is survived by children, Angela & Jay Schwieterman of St. Henry, Scott & Cherity (Parman) Kremer of Medina, and Kyle & Makayla (Williamson) of St. Henry, and by eight grandchildren: Sydney, Drew, and Jake Schwieterman, Clay, Cole, and Chase Kremer, and Rachel & Jaxon Kremer. He is also survived by siblings and in-laws: Mary Ann & Tom Poeppelman of St. Henry, Paul Heitkamp of St. Henry, Dolores & Dave Fortman of Minster, Rose Ann & Alan Diller of Coldwater, and Marlene & Wayne Tekamp of Coldwater. His Bertke in-laws are Helen & Bob Stover of Celina, Walter & Teresa Bertke of Atlanta, GA, and Al & Pati Bertke of St. Henry.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters, Stacy & Jennifer, two grandchildren, Luke & Miia Kremer, siblings and in-laws: Norb & Edna Kremer and Esther & Ivo Goettemoeller, Ralph Gelhaus, and Stella Heitkamp, and his parents-in-law, Wilbur & Anna Marie Bertke.
Don was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Carthagena. He was also a social member of the Coldwater VFW. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Browns. Don enjoyed playing Blackjack, 3 Card Poker, and slots at casinos. He also enjoyed 60's music, muscle cars, Peach Crown, lottery tickets, and card playing with family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 26, 2021, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 25, and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice in Coldwater or the Cancer Association of Mercer County, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
