Esther Eyink
Esther M. Eyink, age 77 of Chickasaw, died, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Gardens at Celina.
She was born May 18, 1944 in Celina to the late Aloys & Cecilia (Bruns) Eyink.
She is survived by siblings and in-laws, Mary Ann Gruss of Coldwater, Ken (Kathy) Eyink of Coldwater, Mary Eyink of New Bremen, Wilbert Homan of St. Rose and Don Feltz of Coldwater and many nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by siblings and in-laws, Edgar (Rita) Eyink, Alice Feltz, Viola Homan, Ernest Eyink, Tom Eyink and Vincent Gruss.
She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Chickasaw where she was a sacristan, lector, caring minister and a member of the Ladies Sodality, church choir, resurrection choir, bereavement committee and the adoration guild. She also volunteered at the Spiritual Center and nursing homes. She worked at Minster Machine for 38 years. Esther always had a smile that radiated her love of God.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Monday, February 21, 2022 at Precious Blood Church. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 pm on Sunday and 9 to 10 am Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
