Rose A. Schwieterman, age 96, of Milford, Ohio, and formerly of Burkettsville, Ohio, passed peacefully Thursday, March 3, 2022 in hospice care surrounded by her family.

She was born October 4, 1925 in Russia, Ohio to the late August & Anna (DeBrosse) Peltier. On July 24, 1948, she married LeRoy E. Schwieterman who preceded her in death on December 1, 2011. Rose is survived by four sons: Ron & LuAnn of Fairfield, Ohio, Gerald of Loveland, Ohio, Mark & Sherry of Morrow, Ohio, and David & Jan of North Royalton, Ohio. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Bruce, and siblings and in-laws: Martha & Charles Luthman, Ursula & Forest Baugher, Bernice & LeRoy Monnin, Gertrude & Gale Creager, Florence & Robert Bothast, Esther & Elmer Zircher, Toni & Dillon Baugher, Grace & Carl Lung, Leonard & Alvina Peltier, Hubert & Velma Peltier, a step-brother, Bud & Ruth Den; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph & Mary Schwieterman.

She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, along with the St. Bernard Ladies' Guild. She was a homemaker, a beautician, a prayerful Catholic, and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Thursday, March 10 at St. Bernard Church, Burkettsville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.   Friends and family may call at 9:00 to 10:00 am, Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
