CELINA - Mercer Soil and Water Conservation District board of supervisors on Thursday approved applying for $176,000 in grant funds that would pay for the creation of waterways and wetlands.

CHICKASAW - Plans to establish the village's first ever income tax moved forward Wednesday night when council gave first reading to an ordinance that would implement a 1% tax.
