Clete Rammel
Cletus "Clete" A. Rammel, 80, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at The Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on April 14, 1942, in Sharpsburg, Ohio, to the late Paul and Alvina (Schulte) Rammel.
Clete is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna (Hatert) Rammel , whom he married on August 10, 1963; his children, Chris (Lori) Rammel of St. Henry, Craig (Jackie) Rammel of Coldwater, and Curt (Diana) Rammel of Fort Recovery; his 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, with one on the way; his sisters, Margaret (Pete) Bertke of Coldwater, Pauline (Bob) Schlarman of St. Henry, Ann (Steve) Hoelsher of Minster, and Mary Rammel of Fort Recovery; his in-laws, Beverly Kuck of New Bremen, Susie Rammel of Fort Recovery, Wanda Fetters of Celina, Linda (Mike) Kessen of Carthegena, Annie (Paul) Kunk of St. Henry, Paula (Pat) Medler of Pendleton, Indiana, Jack (Karen) Hatert of New Weston, and Leila (Tim) Meyer of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, Clete was preceded in death by his son, Clete Rammel, Jr.; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie (Barb) Rammel, Louis Rammel, and Walt (Barb) Rammel.
Clete worked for the Equity in Fort Recovery and then Coopers until his retirement at the age of 73. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aire 3025 in Coldwater. Clete was a huge fan of Sprint Car racing, the Cincinnati Reds, and all Fort Recovery sports. Most importantly, Clete loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and was an avid supporter of his grandchildren's many activities.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 14, 2022, at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Ethan Hoying celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Family and friends may visit with Clete's family on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Thursday, from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
