Edward Muhlenkamp
Edward Paul Muhlenkamp, 75, of Portland, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the Gardens at St. Henry.
He was born on December 12, 1946, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Paul and Dorothy (Langenkamp) Muhlenkamp.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara "Barb" (Lamm) Muhlenkamp, whom he married on October 14, 1967, and passed away September 22, 2020; his brother, Kenneth Muhlenkamp; and his in-laws, Anna (David) Mitchel.
Ed is survived by his children, Amanda (Mark) Thurber of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Eric (Shannon) Muhlenkamp of Lexington, Kentucky, Todd (Kristina) Muhlenkamp of Portland, and Beth (Kevin) Hemmelgarn of Fort Recovery; his 12 grandchildren; his siblings, John (Carol) Muhlenkamp of Dayton, Carol (Jesse) Parete of Dayton, Marlene (Tom) Henry of Hudson, Indiana, Joyce (Jim) Hemmelgarn of Russia, Herb (Deb) Muhlenkamp of Celina, Clete (Polly) Muhlenkmap of St. Marys, Theresa Branson of Celina, Connie (John) Boeke of Coldwater, Dan (Susie) Muhlenkamp of Coldwater, Marge (Chris) Goettemoeller of St. Henry, and Gary (Angie) Muhlenkamp of Celina; his sister-in-law, Peg (Ron) Carpenter of Celina; and his in-laws, Ken (Janice) Lamm of Fort Recovery, Paul Lamm of St. Marys, Joan (Harry) McPheron of St. Marys, and Tom (Joan) Lamm of Fort Recovery.
Ed was a 1965 graduate of Coldwater High School. He previously worked for All Season Industries in Markle, Indiana, and for Pax Machine in Celina. Ed was also a long-time farmer.
In his free time, Ed loved to go fishing, tinkering with things around the house, and he especially loved his Case tractor. Ed was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Portland and the Portland Knights of Columbus, Council 983.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, with his Godson, Father Rob Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joe Catholic Cemetery in St. Joe, Ohio.
Guests may visit with Ed's family on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and again on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
