Wilma Heil
Wilma Heil, 95, of St. Marys, died 9:20 A.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at the Grande Lake Health Center in St. Marys.
She was born September 3, 1926, in Mercer County, Ohio, the daughter of Gerald and Laura (Kettler) Brodbeck. She married John Heil on May 15, 1948, at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys, and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2017.
She is survived by her children: Pam (Fred) Scheer of St. Marys; Bruce Heil of West Chester, Ohio; Amy (Bill) Lauth of St. Marys. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Andrew (Jen) Scheer of Merritt Island, FLA; Melissa (Dustin) Wills of St. Marys; Lori Scheer of New Bremen; Brian Scheer of Cincinnati; Brooke (Justin Cotterman) Lauth of St. Marys; John (Katie) Lauth of Mendon. She is survived by her great-grandchildren: William Cotterman; Fara Scheer; Kennedy Lauth; Evelyn Cotterman; Kora Lauth, and by her sister, Laura Lee (Don) Burger of St. Marys.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; by four children: Deborah Heil; Steven Heil; John "Ted" Heil, Jr.; Mark Heil. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Irma (Lowell) Mesarvey; Esther (Veryl) Cisco; Alma (William) Cisco; Bernard Brodbeck; Doris (Richard) Grimm; Albert (Marge) Brodbeck; Beatrice (Ralph) Meyers; Vernon (Ruth) Brodbeck; Treva (William) Claflin.
Wilma was a 1944 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys. Wilma was a very kind woman who loved spending time with her family.
Private family funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 22, 2022, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, the Reverend Rhonda Hainer, officiant. Burial rites will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be given to either St. Paul's United Church of Christ or Grand Lake Hospice.
