Roger F. Flaute
Roger F. Flaute, 76, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Ohio State Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus.
He was born January 15, 1946 in McCartyville, Ohio to the late Walter H. and Clara G. (Schroeder) Flaute. On April 8, 1967 he married Margaret (Behm) Flaute, they were together for 55 wonderful years and she survives at their residence in Celina.
Other survivors include two daughters, Sheila Flaute and Cheryl (Trent Chrisman) Flaute, both of Celina; three sisters, Eileen (John) Gaier, Wapakoneta, Agnes Jackson, Columbus and Barbara (Terry) Bateman, Sidney; and three grandsons, Cole (Kari) Flaute, Columbus, Ross Flaute, Celina and Kyle (Heather Heiby) Flaute, Columbus.
He is also preceded in death by his son, Daniel Flaute; a sister, Treva Frilling; and a brother, Leo Flaute.
Roger was a 1964 graduate of Anna High School. He proudly served his country in the Ohio Army National Guard. Throughout his life Roger worked at Crown Equipment Corp. in Celina as a truckdriver, Mersman Furniture Factory in Celina, New Idea in Coldwater and lastly he retired from Parker Hannifin in St. Marys.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina and Celina Knights of Columbus Council 1800. Roger was an avid outdoorsman; he loved bass fishing, hunting, and especially hunting groundhogs. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather and friend. Roger would provide a helping hand to anyone, mostly his family, who meant the world to him; he will be deeply missed by all.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Celina with Fr. John Tonkin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at the funeral home Saturday morning. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
