Mary Jean Heitbrink
Mary Jean Heitbrink, age 84 of Minster, Ohio, died at 4:24 AM on December 12, 2022 at her home in Minster.
She was born on October 19, 1938 in Shelby County, Ohio to the late Raymond & Ludwina (Meiring) Hoying. She married James Heitbrink on August 29, 1959 in St. Patrick Church, St. Patrick, Ohio and he survives in Minster.
She is also survived by children: Marge & Tim Baumer, Minster, Mark & Lynne Heitbrink, Minster, Mary Kay & Ron Wolters, McCartyville, John & Sheila Heitbrink, Minster, Jane & Matt Ratermann, Ft. Loramie, Tony & Tammy Heitbrink, Minster, 14 grandchildren, Karissa & Austin Kaylor, Andrew & Ellen Baumer, Austin & Sarah Baumer, Allan & Lauren Heitbrink, Aaron & Ashley Heitbrink, Ben & Hannah Heitbrink, Dustin & Katelyn Wolters, Wesley & Hannah Wolters, Jordyn Heitbrink, Jack Heitbrink, Taylor Ratermann, Devin Ratermann, Rachel Smith, Brad Meyer, 26 great grandchildren, siblings: Sister Jean Renee Hoying, C.PP.S., Dayton, Diane Gels, Lewis Center, David & Helen Hoying, Ft. Loramie, Monica Boerger, Ft. Loramie, Rita & Denny Sollmann, Sidney, step siblings: Martha Heitkamp, Sidney, Tom and Rosie Koverman, St. Marys, in-laws: Maurice & Carol Heitbrink, Minster, Marcella Mescher, Versailles.
She was preceded in death by stepsister: Lois & Bill Drees, in-laws: Bill Gels, Ken Boerger, Tom Heitkamp, Janet & John Borgerding, Ralph (Red) Mescher.
Mary Jean was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the NFO and a honorary member of the FFA. She was a daycare provider for over 30 years and helped on the family farm. She was a great cook, avid gardener, and enjoyed canning. She also loved following her grandchildren & great grandchildren in all of their activities.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday, December 16, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Thursday, December 15 from 2 to 7 PM and from 9 to 9:30 AM on Friday.
