Russell Williams
Russell Albert Williams, 50 of Lima, passed away December 29, 2022, at his residence.
Russell was born October 7, 1972 in Lima, to Don Williams and Linda (Westbay) Battels; his father preceded him in death and his mother survives him in Lima.
Russell was a 1992 graduate of Bath High School and worked at Performance Paint as a sales representative for many years. He attended Lima Community Church and he enjoyed watching and attending races. Russell worked for TV 44, WTGN and he was the former cameraman for Limaland. He enjoyed working on and collecting old cars and he loved spending time with his family. Russell didn't know a stranger and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his mother, Russell is survived by his brothers, Nick Williams, Todd Williams, Chuck (Michelle) Williams, Jamie (Sherrie) Williams and Tony Williams; step-siblings, Mari (Bill) Huebner, Melissa (Steve) Thomas, Andrew Spangler and Harold Spangler; step-father, Doug Battels; niece, Katelyn Williams; aunts, Charlotte Westbay and Polly Welker and many nieces, nephews and a host of extended family.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jodie Williams; step-brother, Keith Spangler and his uncle, Jerry Welker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Shawnee Chapel. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2022 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
