Scattered snow showers occurring across the area will slowly diminish through the overnight hours. These snow showers will continue to cause brief reductions in visibility. In addition, the snow showers could produce a light coating of snow on roadways. This will result in the potential for some slick spots to develop. Motorists should be prepared for changing conditions overnight and exercise extra caution.

Ricardo Shaner
Ricardo L. "Ric" Shaner, age 77, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024, at his home in Celina.
Ric was born November 17, 1946, in Celina, to the late Louis D. & Marjorie M. (Cook) Shaner. Ric and Amber Magateaux were married on March 1, 1969.
Amber survives, along with a son, Louis Shaner of Greenville, and daughter, Gidget (Patrick) Applegate of Maria Stein, as well as their 5 grandchildren: Kathy Shaner, Greg Shaner, Chelsea Randolph, Joshua Applegate and Tyler Applegate, and 4 great grandchildren: Chloe, Bradley, Payton and Zaxton.
Ric was a 1965 graduate of Celina High School. He was employed at Reynolds + Reynolds for 17 years, and had worked with his Dad at Shaner Masonry. Ric enjoyed target shooting and league bowling.
Calling Hours will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, on Wednesday, February 21, from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. The Funeral Service will follow, beginning at 12:30, with Pastor Matt Overman, officiating. Burial will take place at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
