Alice Knick
Alice June Knick, born May 21, 1931, went on to be with the Lord on April 19, 2024, at 2 p.m.
She is the daughter of the late David Riley and Mabel G. (Warren) Dunevant. She married the love of her life, Robert L. (Bob) Knick, on September 30, 1950, at St. John Lutheran Church.
She worked at the Welfare Department as a bookkeeper retiring at the age of 62. Soon, the work bug bit again and she took a part time job at the Daily Advocate as a typist for the newspaper. She was a member of the Ansonia United Methodist Church and enjoyed being part of the choir as well. Alice finally stepped away from the workforce to spend time with hubby Robert L. Knick playing cards and planning short weekend trips with their many friends. She enjoyed traveling and looked forward to each and every road trip they took. Some people may not know this, but Alice enjoyed writing poetry and one has been chosen to share with you.
She is preceded in death by her parents David Riley and Mabel G. (Warren) Dunevant; in-laws Halford (Chiney) and Esther Knick; love of her life Robert L. Knick; brothers Harley, Charles and Ward Dunevant; sisters Ruby Palser, Mary Barnhardt and Leona (Toni) Hale; niece Pamela (Pam) Hart; nephew Greg Feurer; sisters-in-law Betty Hart, Patricia (Patty) Sells and Pat Dunevant; brothers-in-law Dean Hart and Junior Sells; nephews Ward (Junior) Dunevant and Kenneth (Kenny) Dunevant and daughter-in-law Kimberly (Kimmie) Knick.
She is survived by her children Bruce Allen Knick, Sharon Ann (Knick) Shelley; grandchildren Brad (Shelley) Knick; Annessa Marie (Troutwine) Rodemich and fiancé Troy Widmer; great-granddaughters Pressly Chrisann Rodemich and Zoey Josephine Knick; ex grandson-in-law Jason Rodemich; her precious fur baby Nicky Knick, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A private viewing will be held for family.
A public graveside service celebration will be officiated by Pastor Kelly Moody at Greenville Township Memorial Garden on May 1, 2024, at 11 a.m. where she will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice or the charity of your choice.
