Mary Grieshop
Mary Ann Grieshop age 83 of Minster, Ohio, died on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Elmwood Assisted Living, New Bremen.
She was born on April 18, 1941 in Piqua, Ohio to Elmer J. & Eleanor F. (Rethman) Drees. On May 7, 1960 she married Cletus Grieshop in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2023.
She is survived by children & grandchildren: Theodore & Angie Grieshop, Spartanburg, SC their children, Sister James Karol, OP (Kathleen), Nicholas, Mary Elizabeth & Adam McLaughlin, Sister Joseph Lucia, OP (Monica), Colette, John & Aaron: Lynda & Dave Dues, Minster, their daughter Morgan, Sandra & George Weston, Fairfield, CA, Debra Grieshop, Minster, Dennis & Suzi Grieshop, Green Cove Springs, FL their children Vickie Grieshop & partner Mike Cahill, Richard Grieshop, Adam Grieshop & fiancé Breanna Lucci, sister: Nancy & Jerry Wenzke, Dayton, in-laws Edna Lange, St. Henry, Nick & Joan Grieshop, Yorkshire, Vern Grieshop, Yorkshire, Tom & Jan Grieshop, Franklin.
She was preceded in death by; infant brother Lawrence, bonus parents: Clete & Margie Griesdorn, in-laws: Jeanette & Dave Quellhorst, Margie & Leo Wenning, Joe & Angie Grieshop, infant brother Kenny Grieshop, Clete Lange, Marilyn Grieshop, Pat Grieshop.
She was a member of St. Augustine Church, and a member of the Minster F.O.E. #1391 Auxiliary. She worked for 27 years at the U.S. Postal Service and retiring as a rural carrier in New Bremen. For 60 years she was a member of a couple's card club and a woman's poker party. She was part of Hickory Nut's mystery weekend getaways and monthly luncheons. She loved playing solitaire and was an avid bowler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM Thursday July 18, 2024 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 3 to 7 PM and from 8:30 to 9:00 AM on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grand Lake Hospice.
