Lloyd Schwieterman
Lloyd L. Schwieterman, age 75 of St. Sebastian, died Sunday, April 20, 2025 at his home in St. Sebastian.
He was born on September 10, 1949 in Celina to the late Lawrence and Leona (Stachler) Schwieterman. On August 24, 1973 in St. Marys, he married Kathy (Frilling) Schwieterman and she resides in St. Sebastian
He is also survived by children, Jason & Andrea Schwieterman of Maria Stein, Laura & William Hutchison of Chester, New Jersey, Karen & Bart Homan of Chickasaw, and Jodi & John Thompson of Hohokus, New Jersey, grandchildren; Haylee, Caleb, and Ava Schwieterman, William, Emma, and Ivy Hutchison, Brandt, Clara, Eva, Garret, and Sierra Homan, Alexis, Rhys, and Brooks Thompson; siblings and in-laws, Leeroy & Judy Schwieterman, Dan Schwieterman, Vernon & Judy Schwieterman, Myra & John Hileman, Kay & Tim Wenning, Stan Schwieterman, Art Schwieterman, Bill & Ellen Doenges, Joann Liming, Deb Frilling, Tom & Deb Frilling, Mary Lou & Jerry Bambauer, Deb & John Kilbury, Paul & Kris Frilling, Sharon & Doug Jeanneret, and Ed & Shelly Frilling.
He was preceded in death by siblings and in-laws, Edith Doenges, Joe Schwieterman, Alvin Schwieterman, Anna Schwieterman, Gary Liming, and Dave Frilling.
He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Lloyd was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps reserves for 6 years. He was a member of the St. Sebastian Men's Sodality. He was a former post commander for American Legion Post 571 in Maria Stein. He was also a member of the F.O.E. Eagles Aerie 2279 in McArthur, Ohio, the Farm Bureau, and lifetime member of the NRA. Lloyd retired from Minster Machine and farmed. He often enjoyed attending the many activities of his grandchildren, hunting, fishing and gardening.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 25, 2025 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, St. Sebastian. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 24, from 2 pm to 7 pm and on Friday from 9 am to 10 am at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
