Christopher Allen Slone, 56, of St. Marys, OH was found deceased Sunday April 26, 2026 at his residence. Auglaize Co. Coroner Dr. Jason Stienecker has ordered that an autopsy be performed to determine the manner and cause of his death.

He was born August 2, 1969 in St. Marys, OH to Charles and Margaret (Wicker) Slone.

Survivors include daughter Crystal (Chad) Slaven of St. Marys, OH; daughter Taylor Paynter of Leipsic, OH; 9 grandchildren: Alliah Slone, Elaina Slone, Payetynn Slone, Ethan Slaven, Logan Slaven, Isabella Slaven, Benjamin Slone, Paisley Paynter, and Waylon Paynter; sister Margie (Dr. Mitchell) Henry of Dublin, OH; brother Rickie (Pam) Slone of Antwerp, OH; and significant other Brenda Von Sossan of Ft. Jennings, OH.

He was preceded in death by parents Charles and Margaret Slone; son Justin Slone; granddaughter Serenity Slone; and sister Tami Slone-Perez.

He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1988). A tool and die setter, he worked at OMNI Manufacturing in St. Marys. His favorite pastimes included grilling, dancing, karaoke and taking his grandkids for rides on his golf cart. Chris was a big man with a huge heart. The life of the party, he enjoyed making others laugh, often at his own expense. Furthermore, he was always willing to lend an ear to anyone experiencing difficult times. His fierce love for family and friends will always be remembered.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday May 4, 2026 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home on Ohio 703 West.
