NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the County of Mercer will hold a Public Hearing on, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mercer County Commissioners Office, Central Services Build-ing, 220 West Livingston Street, Room A201, Celina, Ohio.

Based on both citizen input and local officials' assessment of the county's needs, the county is proposing to undertake the following Revolving Loan Fund activity:

The county intends to loan the amount of $157,000 to Evermesch Properties LLC dba A Plus Freight, to purchase property at 8211 Booster Drive, Maria Stein. A Plus Freight will create 7 FTE jobs, of which 4 will be offered to or made available to LMI persons; which meets the National Objective.

The total project cost will be $797,000 with funds coming from Revolving Loan Fund of $157,000; Equity $40,000 and Private Lender $600,000. 

This second public hearing is being held to give citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the county's proposed application, before the loan is approved.

The Mercer County, Ohio Board of Commissioners hereby gives notice that it has been notified by the Social Services Administrator of his retirement from that position effective May 31, 2023, and is seeking reemployment to the same position beginning on June 1, 2023. The position of Social Services Administrator is one that is appointed by the Board of Commissioners for which the re-appointment of retiree is subject to public notice and meeting requirements set forth in the Ohio Revised Code §145.381.
