A Lump Sum bid for the project will be received.
A prebid meeting will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at 7956 St. Rt. 119, Room 507, Maria Stein, Ohio 45860. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. The facility will be open for inspection at this time. Due to COVID restrictions, this may be the only time that contractors are permitted into the building during bidding phase.
A Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, irrevocable letter of credit, or surety company bond pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised code in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall accompany each bid; or a bid guaranty bond in accordance with Chapter 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 100% of the total bid shall accompany each bid.

Each bid must be submitted in duplicate on a blank form furnished by the Architect, in a sealed envelope. Mark plainly on the outside of the envelope, the project you are bidding on. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, irregularities and/or errors in the bids to the extent permitted by law. This includes the right to extend the date and time for receipt of bids.

NOTICE TO HERBICIDAL SPRAY APPLICATORS - MAINTENANCE DITCHES
Notice is hereby given that Mercer County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids for herbicidal spraying of a 1 ONE YEAR CONTRACT for the herbicidal spraying of the provided list of Mercer County maintained open ditches under jurisdiction of the Mercer County Board of County Commissioners. Bids will be received and opened at 10:00 o'clock a.m. on February 18, 2021, at the Mercer County Commissioners' Office in the Central Services Building, 220 West Livingston Street, Room A201, Celina, Ohio 45822.
Listed below are the specifications for said herbicidal application. Bids are to be submitted as a lump sum price of one application.
The Mercer County Board of County Commissioners hereby reserve the right to accept, or reject any or all bids, or any part thereof and also reserve the right to waive any, or all irregularities in bidding.

Each bid package must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. The bid guaranty shall be in the form of either:
1. A bond for the full amount of the bid, or
2. A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. Upon entering a contract, a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the project will be required.
Specifications
The contractor is to be approved and licensed by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and shall be responsible for all damages to adjacent crops or claims outside the limits of the ditch banks and easement area. The contractor is limited to the open ditch as a working area. The contractor is also responsible for any part of the right-of-way along the ditch that has been seeded and mulched. The contractor and surety shall save harmless The Board from all suits, actions, claims of any character brought on account of any injuries, or damages sustained by any person or property as a consequence of any neglect in safeguarding the work or through the use of unacceptable materials in the spraying of the Mercer County maintained open ditches, or on account of any act or omission by the contractor or his agents.
The herbicide to use shall be GARLON 3A. Any other material used shall be approved by the County Engineer prior to application.
A 95% kill of woody plants and broadleaf weeds is required or the contractor shall respray uncontrolled areas at his own costs until the 95% rate is obtained.
Payments shall be made within thirty (30) days after completing the spraying.
Completion date shall be June 1, 2021.

EROSION CONTROL
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Mercer County Commissioners for furnishing of all labor, material and equipment in constructing erosion control along the Beaver Creek and constructing erosion control under Mud Pike bridge where it crosses Beaver Creek located in Section 34 of Liberty Township, Mercer County, Ohio. Project includes 5,550 tons of "Type C" rock channel protection and 245 tons of "Type B" rock channel protection.

The Mercer County Commissioners will receive sealed bids for the construction of a Two-Stage Ditch and Wetland Restoration at the Celanco, Inc. farm located in Hopewell Township, Section 25, Mercer County, Ohio.
