Notice is hereby given that there will be three public hearings conducted by the Board of Trustees of Gibson Township, Mercer County, Ohio, regarding the adoption of a resolution to levy an additional license tax of five dollars per motor vehicle on all motor vehicles the owners of which reside in the unincorporated area of the township. The purpose of this tax is for paying the costs and expenses of enforcing and administering the tax and for the construction, reconstruction, improvement, maintenance, and repair of township roads, bridges, and culverts; for purchasing, erecting, and maintaining traffic signs, markers, lights, and signals; for purchasing road machinery and equipment, and planning, constructing, and maintaining suitable buildings to house such equipment; for paying any costs apportioned to the township under section 4907.47 of the Revised Code; and to supplement revenue already available for such purposes.
The hearings shall be held at the Gibson Township Hall, 1700 Industrial Dr., Fort Recovery, Ohio 45846 on March 20, March 27, and April 24, 2024 at 8:00 PM.
Following the third public hearing the Gibson Township Board of Trustees will conduct a Special Meeting to consider adoption of the resolution.

HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS GRANT FUNDS MERCER
COUNTY, OHIO
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Mercer County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in the Mercer County Commissioners Office, Mercer County Central Services Building, 220 West Livingston Street, Room A201, Celina, Ohio.
The Board of Commissioners is eligible to apply to the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program, and the Office of Community Development (OCD). The County is eligible to apply for Program Year 2024 CDBG funding and HOME funding, providing the County meets the applicable program requirements.
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to provide citizens in all jurisdictions (cities, villages, etc.) with information about the entire PY 2024 Small Cities CDBG Program and PY 2024 HOME Program and to permit discussion of possible applications to the ODOD/OCD. A number of PY 2024 CDBG and HOME programs may be available to the County including the Community Development Allocation, Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP), Residential Public Infrastructure, Critical Infrastructure, Economic Development, Target of Opportunity, and Neighborhood Revitalization Program.
The Mercer County Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) will also be reviewed. The CDBG financed RLF permits the County to provide loans and grants at the County's discretion for the purposes of economic development.
The Public Hearing will cover eligible activities, program requirements, funding allocations, and related matters. The CDBG and HOME programs can fund a broad range of activities, including, but not limited to, economic development projects; street, water supply, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements; demolition of unsafe structures; and rehabilitation of housing and neighborhood facilities. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit low-to-moderate income persons, aid in the preservation or elimination of slums and blight, or meet an urgent need of the community.
The following CDBG programs are available to Mercer County:

3. Residential Public Infrastructure Grant: $750,000
4. Critical Infrastructure Grant: $500,000

6. Target of Opportunity Program: $250,000
7. Neighborhood Revitalization Program: $750,000
A second Public Hearing will be held to discuss a specific application for a program mentioned above in the event application is made by the Mercer County Board of Commissioners to the ODOD under a particular program.
Public Hearings are open to all residents of Mercer County and any persons or organizations desiring to speak on the matter will be afforded an opportunity to be heard or seen. Citizens from all jurisdictions (cities, villages, etc.) are encouraged to attend this first Public Hearing on February 13, 2024, to provide their input on the County's entire CDBG/HOME Program. The Mercer County Central Services Building is a handicapped accessible facility.
