Punt return puts St. Henry on track for win over Celina

ST. HENRY - The way Celina and St. Henry played defense in the first half, it appeared that just one little spark would be needed to get someone on the scoreboard.
That spark came from Jack Huelsman, whose 76-yard punt return in the final 40 seconds of the first half helped spark the Redskins in the second half en route to a 31-7 victory over the Bulldogs at the Wally Post Athletic Conference in the first gridiron meeting between the Mercer County schools. ST. HENRY - St. Henry's longtime athletic director Dennis Wendel handed in his resignation letter Thursday after serving the district in multiple roles for around 20 years, superintendent Adam Puthoff confirmed to the newspaper.

The Cardinals posted a 3-5 mark in the Midwest Athletic Conference last season, which ended with a first-round loss in the playoffs and a 5-6 overall record.
ROCKFORD - Parkway will try to rebuild its team this year and escape the bottom of the Midwest Athletic Conference for 2025.

CELINA - Last season was a rebuilding season for the Celina volleyball program. Playing with a young roster against a tough schedule, the Bulldogs were 8-15, but did finish 6-3 in the Western Buckeye League.
COLDWATER - After a dream season culminating in the program's first state volleyball championship, the Coldwater volleyball team will have a new look after losing a number of standouts to graduation.
FORT RECOVERY - Coming into the season with a smaller team, Fort Recovery will look to improve upon their conference finish a year ago.

Good day everyone. I hope all are doing well.
I believe we are in the summer of no reprieve. Most summers we may have a week or so with hot weather, but then we have a cold front and it cools off for a couple of days. This summer has had relentless hot days and high humidity.
  The 2025 high school football season kicks off this week, with several games scheduled for tonight.
As always, hope springs eternal as the 706 schools that play football in Ohio look to be playing the first week of December.

CELINA - The International Amphicar Owners Club not only celebrated their 25th anniversary of being part and parcel of the Celina Lake Festival in 2025, they also came through for the community in a big way.

ST. HENRY - After finishing third at last weekend's Cavalier Spike-Off, St. Henry survived a third set rally by Celina to defeat the Bulldogs in a 25-14, 25-11, 25-21 sweep on Tuesday in the home opener at Redskin Gymnasium.
