Dolores Meyer
Dolores B. Meyer, 83, 19 Monteray Drive, Fort Loramie, died at 4:50 a.m. Oct. 29, 2006, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
She was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Egypt, to Clem and Ida Bruns Poeppelman. On June 28, 1947, she married Vernon J. Meyer, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Tom (Diane) and Jim (Deb), all of Fort Loramie, John, Denver, Colo., and Dan (Sue), Anna; two daughters, Pat (Don) Boerger, Sidney, and Karen (Doug) Schmitmeyer, Minster; five sisters, Betty (Vernon) Hoying and Edith Pleiman, all of Fort Loramie, Irma Hoying, Minster, Joan (Bill) Schwieterman, Coldwater, and Mary Lou Oldiges, Beavercreek; a brother-in-law, Ivo Gottemoeller, Fort Loramie; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Poeppelman, Egypt; and 14 grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Clem Poeppelman; two sisters, Shirley Gottemoeller and Dorothy Poeppelman; two brothers-in-law, Fred Hoying and Ron Oldiges; and a sister-in-law, Mary Poeppelman.
She was a homemaker and a 1940 graduate of Minster High School. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, St. Ann Rosary Alter Sodality, Catholic Ladies of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391 Auxiliary, Minster, and Walkup Country Club, Fort Loramie.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
