Snowflakes are returning to the New Bremen Historical Museum thanks to a new exhibit featuring the handiwork of former physician Dr. Thomas L. Clark of Ann Arbor, Mich. The artist, who goes by the nickname Dr. Snowflake, learned the art of folding and cutting paper from his secretary, Loretta Ennis, back in 1984. He initially cut out snowflakes with a bandage scissors between patient appointments but later branched out to include chisels and colored mat board. Prior to this time his art endeavors focused on charcoal portraits. His work has been displayed in Michigan, Oklahoma, Illinois and Ohio with his last visit to New Bremen being three years ago. The exhibit featuring 60 designs through March 20 with museum hours 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and 2-4 p.m. Sundays. Viewing arrangements also can be made by calling 419-629-3495. There is no admission charge.
