Snow showers associated with an arctic front are moving through this morning, providing a quick accumulation of snowfall. With wind gusts between 30 and 40 mph, the snow showers combined with blowing snow are reducing visibility and creating challenging travel conditions. These conditions are most impactful on roads that are more rural and are aligned from north to south. Even after the snow ends, elevated winds will continue to blow snow into the early afternoon.
Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

An Arctic front will sweep east across the region between 5 AM and 9 AM. A few hours of snow showers and west wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph will occur with the frontal passage. While any accumulations will generally be a half inch or less, some challenging travel conditions may develop given, rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities, strong wind and cold temperatures. These conditions will impact the morning commute. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Indiana and central and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 10 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Kenneth Muhlenkamp
Kenneth J. Muhlenkamp, 52, 4636 Siegrist-Jutte Road, Coldwater, died May 11, 2007, at his residence from natural causes.
He was born Dec. 28, 1954, in Coldwater, to Paul and Dorothy (Langenkamp) Muhlenkamp. On Sept. 26, 1975, he married Peg Will, who survives.
Also surviving are a mother-in-law, Mildred Will, Fort Recovery; six sons, Terry (Kim) Muhlenkamp, St. Henry, Doug, Celina, Rob, Cincinnati, Jason, Arlington, and Chad and Craig, both of Coldwater; six brothers, John, Centerville, Ed (Barb), Portland, Ind., Herb (Deb), Celina, Clete (Polly), St. Marys, Dan (Susie), Coldwater, and Gary (Angie), Montezuma; six sisters, Carol (Jesse) Parete, Piqua, Marlene (Tom) Henry, Hudson, Ind., Joyce (Jim) Hemmelgarn and Margie (Chris) Gottemoeller, both of St. Henry, Theresa (Joe) Branson, Celina, and Connie (John) Boeke, Coldwater; and a grandchild.
He was a farmer and worked at R&R Fabrications, St. Henry. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Farm Bureau.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
