Bevan Jenkins
Bevan Eugene Jenkins, 89, 2451 Pine Road, Celina, died at 9:10 a.m. Feb. 24, 2008, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 13, 1918, in Liberty Township, Mercer County, to Charles Russel and Nancy Barbara Stoll Jenkins. On Jan. 22, 1946, he married Betty Evelyn Monroe, who survives.
Also surviving is a sister, Violet Mae Wells, Waco, Texas.
Deceased is a daughter, Marjorie Lou; three brothers, Basil Edward, Byron Russel and Grant Cecile; and two sisters, Betty Virginia and Ruby Deloris.
He retired from Firestone in Dayton and then worked and retired from Fort Recovery Industries. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in New Guinea and Luzon. He was a member of the Beaver Chapel Congregational Christian Church, Celina, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Celina.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Tom Christen officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
