Clarence Schwartz
Clarence E. Schwartz, 89, Spencerville, died at 11:40 a.m. Feb. 22, 2008, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born May 10, 1918, to Henry and Ida Rempfer Schwartz. On Aug. 26, 1940, he married Doris McNeal, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Larry (Gloria), Spencerville; three daughters, Catherine (Jerry) Rasawehr, Mendon, Janet (Dan) McKercher, Wapakoneta, and Becky (Larry) Jeanneret, Spencerville; a sister, Mary Stemen, Spencerville; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Chester and Virgil.
He was a life-long farmer and co-owner of Schwartz Sawmill from 1956 to 1972. He was a member of Big Bucks of Ohio (hunting club.)
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville,
the Rev. Andrew J. Atkins officiating.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
