* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Vernon Castle Jr.
Vernon Leroy "Pappy" Castle Jr., 59, 338 N. Defiance St., St. Marys, died at 7:02 p.m. Feb. 23, 2008, in the emergency department at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. Cause of death was not available.
He was born Feb. 6, 1949, in Sidney, to Vernon Leroy and Lela Fleming Castle, who are deceased. On July 7, 1967, he married Marlene Foster, who survives.
Other survivors are four sons, Vernon L. III and John, both of Mendon, Patrick, St. Marys, and Michael, Sidney; a sister, Darlene (John) Moorman, St. Marys; and 15 grandchildren.
Deceased are three infant siblings.
He worked as a press operator in the tool and die industry.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Drummond officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
