Special Weather Statement issued March 13 at 2:44PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
Very strong wind gusts and dry soil is leading to areas of blowing dust across the area. This is causing visibility to be reduced to one mile or less in localized area. Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibility. Slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. As winds slowly decrease late this afternoon into the evening, blowing dust should diminish.

Ribfest

Members of the band Impulse perform at the Ribfest, held Saturday at the Mercer County Fairgrounds. D&B Smokin' BBQ of Celina for the second year in a row took top honors. D&B (David Green and Butch Suchland) won all four awards - the judges' choice for best ribs and best sauce and the people's choice for best ribs and best sauce. The festival, which started with a 5K at noon lasted until around 11 p.m., with a packed crowd most of the evening. There also was a rib-eating contest amongst members of the Mercer County Fire Association, with Celina firefighter Jeff "Bacon" Garman sweeping top honors. Garman polished off the most ribs in the 3-minute competition.
