* WHERE...The following counties, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, the following counties, in Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.

Bernard Bruns
Bernard A. Bruns, 88, 13624 Coble Road, Yorkshire, died at 9 p.m. Aug. 26, 2008, at the Kettering Medical Center.
He was born March 17, 1920, in Yorkshire to Bernard and Anna Hilgefort Bruns. On Nov. 16, 1946, he married Jane E. Francis, who died July 22, 1988.
Surviving are two sons, David (Drusilla), Union, and Richard (Karla), Yorkshire; three daughters, Janet (Chris) Stover, Versailles, Janice Bruns, Cincinnati, and Linda (Mike) Kastner, Zionsville, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Josephine Bruns, Yorkshire; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Raymond, Harold, Norbert and Paul; two sisters, Adella Eifer and Alma Kleinhenz.
He was a retired postmaster of Yorkshire and also farmed. Before becoming postmaster, he was employed at Monarch Machine Tool Company in Sidney. He was a member of the American Legion, Osgood, Knights of St. John, Maria Stein, Goat Farmers, Yorkshire, and Knights of Columbus, Versailles. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, and a U.S. Army veteran who served in Europe during World War II.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
