Charles Bonifield
Charles A. Bonifield, 70, 6071 E. 400 S., Salamonia, Ind., died at 10:15 a.m. Oct. 19, 2008, at Jay County Hospital.
He was born June 27, 1938, in Mercer County, to Frank and Marcella Sanders Bonifield. His mother survives in Salamonia. On July 4, 1959, he married LeEtta Manor, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Kevin E. (Kathy), Salamonia; a daughter, Ronda S. (Greg) Brotherton, Salamonia; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He worked for 38 years at Sheller Globe Hardy Division in Union City, Ind., and retired after 10 years at Joyce Dayton, Portland, Ind. He attended Fort Recovery High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, the Rev. Verl Ballmer officiating. Burial is at Salamonia Cemetery.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home.
