Scattered snow showers occurring across the region will gradually diminish early this morning. While any accumulation will be less than an inch, this will create slick roadways with a quick coating of snow. Not all roads will be affected, but motorists should be aware that driving conditions may change quickly along their route, going from dry to slick. If traveling this morning, use extra caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

Doyle Brooks
Doyle Edwin Brooks Jr., 69, 217 Jill Ave., Celina, died at 6:43 p.m. Oct. 21, 2008, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Erwin, Va., to Clarence and Maurine Stanley Brooks. On Sept. 7, 1960, he married Linda Norton, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Doyle "Edie" (Vicki) and Kevin (Laura), all of Celina; a daughter, Deanna "Dee" Gingerich, Celina; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Gene Stewart.
He worked at the former Huffy Bicycle Plant, Celina, the St. Marys Foundry and the former New Idea, Coldwater. He retired in 1999 after 22 years service as an emergency management technician for the City of Celina.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Lee Ellis officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Celina Area Visiting Nurses & Hospice.
