Sister Mary Ruth Kramer
Former Coldwater resident Sister Mary Ruth Kramer, 84, died at 5:30 a.m. Dec. 20, 2008, at Holy Family Health Care Center, Victory Noll, Huntington, Ind.
She was born Nov. 19, 1924, in Coldwater, to Jacob and Teresa Gels Kramer.
Surviving are a brother, the Rev. William Kramer, Carthagena; and two sisters, Dorothy Brandewie and Rita Gustin.
Deceased is a brother, Arnold; and a sister, Marie Kennedy.
She entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Oct. 28, 1943, and made her vows Aug. 5, 1946. She served in missions in California, Indiana, Colorado, Missouri, Nevada and Ohio. She most recently served the Coldwater Catholic cluster of parishes. She returned to Victory Noll in June 2008, to serve as liturgist.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Archbishop Noll Memorial Chapel at the Victory Noll Center, Huntington, the Rev. Thomas Fahey officiating. Burial is at Victory Noll Cemetery.
Calling is after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. A vigil service is at 7 p.m. today at the chapel.
Arrangements are being handled by McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Huntington.
