Mark Pohl
Mark A. Pohl, 48, 1326 Fort Recovery-Minster Road, Fort Recovery, died at 4:35 a.m. Dec. 27, 2008, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Oct. 30, 1960, in Coldwater, to Carl and Mary Ann Grieshop Pohl, who survive in Maria Stein. On Jan. 3, 1987, he married Lucie Kahlig, who survives at the residence.
Other survivors are four sons, Jacob, Adam, Josh and Austin, all at home; five brothers, Dr. Ronald (Ann), Lima, Dr. Douglas (Maureen), Destin, Fla., Sydney Pohl, Cincinnati, Keith (Tricia) Pohl, Minster, Brian (Michelle) Pohl, Fort Collins, Colo.; two sisters, Jean (Michael) Smith, Chapin, S.C., Dr. Sharon Pohl and her husband, Dave Berchtold, Springfield, Va.; and a father-in-law, Gregor Kahlig, Fort Recovery.
Deceased is a mother-in-law, Edna Kahlig.
He was a sales representative for Midwest Veterinary Supply, Minneapolis, Minn., caretaker of Nature's Villa of Fort Recovery and Coldwater, and co-owner of Creative Builders, Fort Recovery. He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, where he served as assistant CCD teacher and usher. He graduated in 1979 from Marion Local High School, Maria Stein, and from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., with a degree in animal science, and was a charter member of the Purdue Agricultural Society.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
