John Rines
John S. Rines, 75 formerly of 2246 E. 200 South, died Nov. 29, 2009, at Miller's Merry Manor, Dunkirk.
He was born Dec. 14, 1933, in Jay County to Fred and Lois Journay Rines. His mother survives in Portland, Ind. On Sept. 17, 1955, he married Cletes Glentzer, who survives.
Other survivors are four sons, Stewart, Scott, Steve and Stanley Rines, all of Portland; three daughters, Catherine (Peter) Foss, Saratoga, Calif., Corienne (Randy) Brockman, St. Henry, Susan (Chuck) Huffman, Dunkirk; two brothers, Alan Rines, Albany, and Paul Rines, Portland; a sister, Rachael Stahl, Americas, Ga; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Memorial service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church, the Rev. Greg Rittenhouse officiating.
Calling is one hour prior to service at the church.
Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Asbury United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.
