Rain glistens on the pavement as authorities investigate a two-vehicle accident that resulted in injuries to two area residents at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday along U.S. 127. Alicia A. Siegrist, 21, 362 Anthony Drive, St. Henry, reportedly slowed her 1998 Oldsmobile for another vehicle turning into a private drive. Thomas D. Kessen, 52, 6314 state Route 274, Celina, failed to stop in time and struck the rear of her car. Siegrist and 71/2-month-old Landon N. Garcia, of the same address, were taken by ambulance to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. Mercer County Sheriff's deputies cited Kessen for an assured clear distance violation. Both heavily damaged vehicles were towed from the scene.
