* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, Kentucky, including the following counties, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.
* WHEN...Through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A lull in rainfall will continue for much of the day. However, additional storms will move into the area later this afternoon. The risk of heavy rainfall will be greatest tonight into early Friday morning. There is also the potential for storms to repeatedly move over the same locations, which increases flash flood risk.

Redskins put an end to losing streak

ST. MARYS - St. Henry shrugged off a rusty shooting effort and snapped a three-game losing streak, holding off St. Marys 36-33 at McBroom Gymnasium on Monday night.

The Roughriders dropped their second straight game to fall to 2-4 on the season.

Neither team shot well as St. Henry shot just under 35 percent and St. Marys shot just under 31 percent. [More]

Council approves budget for 2010

The village of Coldwater's 2010 appropriation ordinance was accepted at Monday's village council meeting.

The general fund appropriations top out at $1,697,753, approximately $20,000 higher than last year. Total appropriations of all funds amounted to $4,662,774.

Driver and passenger hurt in snowmobile accident

Two snowmobiles collided early Monday morning resulting in injuries to two people. The mishap occurred at 1:20 a.m. in the 5100 block of Harrison Road near Montezuma, according to Mercer County Sheriff's Office reports.

Mercer County Recorder Tammy Barger warns area residents not to pay $59.50 for a copy of their property deed being offered through a for-profit company. A copy is available from the county recorder's office for only $2 per page and $2 for certification.
