Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Leonard Kittle
Leonard L. "Kelly" Kittle, 81, Celina, died July 3, 2010, at The Gardens in Celina.
He was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Big Rapids, Mich., to Forest and Loree Kugel Kittle. On Oct. 22, 1971, he married Martha Lou Kramer, who survives.
Also surviving is a brother, Murrel "Charlie" Kittle, Celina; three sisters, Helen Henkle and Mary Ann Kittle, both of Celina, and Geraldine "Geri" (Phil) Fishbaugh, Spencerville; two brothers-in-law, Jim Andres and John Zumberge, both of Celina; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Kittle, Celina.
Deceased is a brother, Elmer "Pete" Kittle; and three sisters, Virginia Zumberge, Blanche Andres and Carolyn Sue Sloan.
He worked at the City of Celina Street Department. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, the Mercer County Sportsman's Club, Eagles Lodge, American Legion, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Moose Lodge, all of Celina.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial with graveside military rites by the Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5713 and the American Legion Post #210 is at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-10:15 a.m. Thursday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
Memorials can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Immaculate Conception Education Endowment.
