Elmer Klosterman
Elmer J. Klosterman, 93, Vero Beach, Fla., died June 6, 2010.
He was born Feb. 19, 1917, in Montezuma, to Frank and Adelaide Borgert Klosterman. On Aug. 30, 1940, he married Irene R. Backs, who survives in Vero Beach.
Also surviving are two daughters, Nancy (Thomas) Norman, Vero Beach, and Donna (Kevin) Eisenman, Stratford, Conn.; a brother, Lester (Leatrice) Klosterman, Greenville; a sister, Eileen Herman, St. Marys; a brother-in-law, Dr. George Lucas, Oglesby, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Eugene and Ivo Klosterman; and a sister, Rita Lucas.
He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville, where he was a Eucharistic minister. He graduated from the University of Dayton and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisc. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He also owned and operated Burkettsville Grain for many years.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
