* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

Guyulla Monroe

Guyulla Dale Monroe, 87, St. Marys, died at 6:40 p.m. Oct. 1, 2010, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Vandalia, Mo., to Elmer L. and Blanche V. Greene Jackson.

Surviving is a son, Dean Monroe, St. Marys; a daughter, Nancy Payne, Las Vegas, Nevada; two granddaughters.

She was a graduate of Hickey Business College in St. Louis, Mo. She was a homemaker and co-owner of the Knotty Pine Tavern in St. Marys. She was a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church, a life member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post #9289 and the American Legion Post #323 auxiliaries, all of St. Marys.

Funeral rites are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Waters Funeral Home in Vandalia. Burial is at Evergreen Memorial Garden in Vandalia.

Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys.
