Janet Mackenbach

Janet S. Mackenbach, 64, Mendon, died at 9:55 a.m. Oct. 28, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

She was born Dec. 1, 1946, in Buckland to Gerald and Leota King Shoffstall. On April 20, 1964, she married Thomas A. Mackenbach, who died Oct. 5, 2006.

Surviving are children, Thomas A Mackenbach Jr., Mendon, Brenda (John) Todd, Celina, Beth Slone, Rockford, Tim (Tracy Smith) Mackenbach, Celina, and Becky (Mike Posada) Mackenbach, Celina; siblings, Charlotte (Lyle) Compton, St. Marys, Nancy Dials, St. Marys, Bonnie (Ballard) Chaffins, St. Marys, Jerry (Melissa) Shoffstall, St. Marys, and Sidney Shoffstall, Celina; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a sister, Betty Griffin, and brother-in-law, Buddy Dials.

A homemaker, she was a certified nursing assistant with Celina Manor Nursing Home and Valley Nursing Home.

Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will follow at Buckland Cemetery, Buckland.

Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
