Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

Henry Fortkamp Jr.
Henry A. Fortkamp Jr., 76, Fort Recovery, died March 31, 2012, at an auto accident scene in Mercer County.
He was born March 18, 1936, in Celina to Henry Sr. and Mary Homan Fortkamp. On Nov. 9, 1960, he married Arlene Poeppelman, who also died March 31, 2012, in the same accident.
Surviving are five children, Cheryl (John) Rammel, Fort Recovery, Christine (Tom) Remaklus, Fort Recovery, Norma (Ron) Sudhoff, Coldwater, Kevin (Sharon) Fortkamp, Fort Recovery, and Brian (Susie) Fortkamp, Fort Recovery; seven siblings, Rita Zehringer, St. Henry, Rosie May, Fort Recovery, Bernice Poling, Coldwater, Alice (Eugene) Steinke, Wapakoneta, Vincent (Jean) Fortkamp, Fort Recovery, Lavern (Elaine) Fortkamp, Dayton, and Ralph Fortkamp, Fort Recovery; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Cyril Fortkamp.
He had worked for Mersman Brothers, Celina, and Fort Recovery Equity and was a farmer. He was a member of Coldwater Eagles and St. Paul Catholic church, Sharpsburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
