Mary Joyce Heitkamp
Mary Joyce Heitkamp, 72, Minster, died at 2:05 a.m. March 31, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 24, 1939, in Minster, to Alfred and Leona Vallo Friemering. On July 9, 1959, she married Frank F. Heitkamp, who survives.
Also surviving are six children, Sheila (Tim) Fisher, Minster, Kurt Heitkamp, Charleston, S.C., Lori (Randy Brown) Heitkamp, Sidney, Julie (Bob) Barlage, Russia, Frank (Allison) Heitkamp, Minster, and Bruce (Amanda) Heitkamp, Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Lois Heyne and Kathleen (Urban) Bensman, all of Minster; nine in-laws, Lee Westerheide, Celina, Ivo (Wilma) Heitkamp, Philothea, Tom (Marty) Heitkamp, Montezuma, Delores (Bill) Munch, Urbana, Marie Will, New Bremen, and Pat Heitkamp, Versailles; and 16 grandchildren.
Deceased are eight in-laws, Jack Heyne, Carl and Adelle Golden, Elsie and Jack Connors, Linus Heitkamp, JoAnn Westerheide and Louis Will.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Minster Eagles, and a WIBC secretary. She had worked as a beautician and was co-owner of the End Zone Sports Lounge.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
