Stella Evers
Stella P. Evers, 89, Maria Stein, died at 6:30 a.m. July 21, 2012, at her residence.
She was born June 6, 1923, in McCartyville to Bernard and Mary Hoying Pleiman. On Sept. 7, 1949, she married Gregor B. Evers, who died March 29, 2005.
Surviving are four children, Ann Evers, Kettering, and Willard (Ellen) Evers, Elaine Evers and Roger (Mary Lou) Evers, all of Maria Stein; a sister, Norma Puthoff, Fort Loramie; two sisters-in-law, Sally Pleiman, McCartyville, and Eileen Pleiman, Osgood; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are six brothers, Henry, Albin, Leonard, Sylvester, Bernard and Jerome Pleiman, and two sisters, Ann Henry and Corrine Bornhorst.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, both of St. Rose, and a former member of the church choir.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. Thomas Brenberger and Ken Pleiman con-celebrating and Deacon Greg Bornhorst assisting. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
