Ruth Jacobs
Ruth L. Jacobs, 92, Celina, died June 3, 2013, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born May 31, 1921, in Celina to Frank and Jenny Painter Alexander. On June 1, 1937, she married Arthur J. Jacobs, and he died Oct. 24, 1989.
She is survived by three children, Robert Jacobs of Celina, Patricia (Robert) Bullock of Lima and Tom (Sue) Jacobs of Celina; a son-in-law, Terry August of Celina; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Alexander of Celina; sisters, Eva Ritchie of Celina and Joann Hoenie of St. Marys; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Alexander of Celina and Helen Jacobs of Coldwater; and a brother-in-law, Kenny (Marjorie) Jacob of St. Henry.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Linda August; a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur Jr. and Sonia Jacobs; a sister, Fay Alexander; brothers, Harry Young and Bill Alexander; and a brother–in-law, Donald Jacobs.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, the Celina Eagles, American Legion and VFW auxiliaries and the Mercer County Sportsman's Association. She retired from the former Buckeye Overall in Coldwater and previously worked at Goodyear in St. Marys.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today and 9:30-10 a.m. Friday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
