The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Kermit Miller
Kermit E. Miller, 82, Wapakoneta, died 7:41 P.M. Thursday, January 5, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born May 5, 1934, in Union City, Indiana, the son of Christopher and Gladys (Myers) Miller. He married Imogene Pence on May 28, 1951; she survives at Auglaize Acres.
He is survived by his children: Susan Rostorfer (Gary Isenschmid) of Wapakoneta; Timothy (Becky Spring) Miller of Saint Marys; Tad (Susan) Miller of Sevierville, Tennessee; Rex (Mary) Miller of DeSoto, Kansas; Vicky (Butch) Delap of Wapakoneta; Kert (Shellie) Miller of Piqua; Jay (Tasha) Miller of Buckland, Ohio. He is survived by his grandchildren: Shelly (Tony) Robbins; Erin (Josh) Hemmert; Ian Miller; Olivia Miller; Hannah Echolberry; Joshua Delap; Lela Angel; David Delap; Jaime Schroer; Zach Miller; Breanna Miller; Chris Miller; Nathan Miller; Ruby Miller. He is survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by a caretaker, Rena Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by a sister, Jean Stewart; by a granddaughter, Brittney Miller.
Kermit retired from Wagner Paving Company. He enjoyed going to garage sales, flea markets and auctions.
Funeral rites will be held 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 9, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Private family burial rites will be held at Resthaven Memory. Gardens.
Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Auglaize Acres.
