* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Nicholas Hemmelgarn
Nicholas J. Hemmelgarn, age 67, of Coldwater, died on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Coldwater.
He was born August 26, 1950 in Cranberry Prairie to the late Albert & Alvina (Stucke) Hemmelgarn. He married his wife, Mary Ann (Wenning) on September 4, 1971 and she resides in Coldwater.
He is survived by his children, Barbara & Todd Utrup of Wapakoneta and Bradley Hemmelgarn of Coldwater; grandson, Jordan Moening; siblings, Charles & Karen Hemmelgarn of Clayton, Lowell & Tina Hemmelgarn of Toledo, and Sue Ann Hull of Sidney; and in-laws, Gary & Linda Wenning of Salem, Oregon, and Becky & Randy Myers of Coldwater and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents-in-law, Arthur & Marie Wenning, and in-laws, John Hull and Vicki Wenning.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and Coldwater Eagles. He enjoyed exercising and Elvis. Nick was also an avid sports fan and loved watching his grandson's activities. He was a graduate of St. Henry High School class of 1969 and worked for Crown for 36 years.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 am Monday, October 2, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to a college fund for his grandson, Jordan.
