The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Patricia Knous
Patricia L. Knous, 77, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home in Ft. Wayne.
She was born on September 20, 1940 in Auglaize County, OH, the daughter of the late Kermit V. and Edna (Scheblo) Freewalt. On September 29, 1956, she married Lloyd R. Knous.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur. Patricia and her husband, Lloyd moved from Auglaize County to Decatur in the spring of 1960; where they raised their family and she worked as a lifelong homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lloyd R. Knous of Decatur; 5 sons, Robert L. (Pamela) Knous, Neal L. (Sandy Simerman) Knous, Bruce M. (Laura) Knous, Rodney B. (Mary "Betsi") Knous, and Duane J. (Tammy) Knous all of Decatur; 2 daughters, Barbara A. (Adlai Hillison) Knous of Berne and Fawn R. (Zeb Smith) Knous of Decatur; 2 brothers, Kermit (Barbara) Freewalt Jr. of New Bremen, OH, and Larry (Kelly) Freewalt of St. Marys, OH; 4 sisters, Luella Tobin, Marlene Knous, Laneta Koetter all of St. Marys, OH; and Linda Dodson of Piqua, OH; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Scott A. Knous; son-in-law, Randal Davis, and grandson-in-law, Jon R. Trowbridge.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 1:00–5:00 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior from 9:00–10:00 a.m. in the St. Mary's Parish Hall. Father Bob J. Lengerich will be officiating and burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Visiting Nurse Hospice home or St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
