* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity combined with very warm low temperatures can be especially hazardous as the overnight hours provide little relief from the heat. The heat may continue into Wednesday.

Jerry Schultz
Jerry L. Schultz, 69, of Saint Marys, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at his residence.
He was born April 20, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, the son of John and Gladys (Stoner) Schultz. He married Judy Meckstroth on August 5, 1972, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys; she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his children: Jill (Timothy) Gasson of Mason, Ohio; Jodi Epperson of Indianapolis, Indiana; Justin Schultz (Andrea Angstmann) of Saint Marys. He is survived by his four grandsons: Andrew, Kyle, Luke and William Gasson. He is survived by his siblings: John W. Schultz, Jr. of Saint Marys; JoAnn (Keith) Hodges of Overland Park, Kansas; Jan (Gary) Ouellette of Barre, Vermont.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a son-in-law, Jay Epperson.
Jerry was a 1967 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School, and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong dairy farmer on the family farm. He will be remembered for his great personality. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, Saint Marys, Reverend Bill Maki, officiant. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Disabled American Veterans or Zion Lutheran Church.
